Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya upsurge in the Men’s T20I all-rounder’s ranking on the back of a fabulous 2024 T20 World Cup outing in the United States of America and the Caribbean islands. Currently, he has the joint-highest tally, matching with Wanindu Hasaranga’s 222 ratings.

Pandya played a pivotal role with both bat and ball in hand during India’s second T20 World Cup triumph. He piled up 144 runs at an average of 48 and a strike rate over 150 while also picking up eleven wickets. Pandya’s  three-fer against South Africa in the final was clinical as he defended 16 runs in the last over to seal the deal for the Men in Blue.

The Baroda-based star outfoxed an on-song Heinrich Klaasen in the 17th over followed by the big scalp of David Miller in the ultimate over of the contest. Pandya also scored a fifty against Bangladesh during the Super Eight stages and played vital cameos against Australia and England.

There were some more amendments in the rankings as Mohammad Nabi lost a considerable amount of ratings to bail out of the top five list. On the flip side, Marcus Stoinis, Shakib Al Hasan, and Liam Livinsgtone gained a point each within the top ten rankings. India’s Axar Patel, who had an outstanding World Campaign, climbed seven ranks upward to cement the 12th spot.

Following a stellar camp, the Indian team’s journey home was halted due to the onset of hurricane Beryl across the Windward islands and governing regions. However, the BCCI arranged chartered flights for the squad and also bail the journalists out the group landed in Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the winning team.
