To have been a part of the team as a player has been an incredible experience. Now that I’ve got the opportunity to be a mentor and a batting coach, I’m looking forward to it. Please continue to support me, just as you did when I was a player. I will do my best in my new role. There’s one unfulfilled goal, isn’t there? Winning the title as a player, which we came very close to achieving a few times. But I can promise you, as a coach, we will make it happen. RCB lifting the trophy is going to happen very, very soon,” Karthik further added.

Karthik also played 26 Tests, 94 ODIs, and 60 T20Is for India, and his extensive experience will help RCB shape its team in the mega auction ahead of the next IPL.
