The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Tuesday, has unveiled the Indian squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, set to be held in the West Indies and the USA. Leading the team will be Rohit Sharma, with Hardik Pandya appointed as vice-captain.
In a surprising move, star batsman KL Rahul has been omitted from the squad, raising eyebrows among cricket enthusiasts. Meanwhile, wicketkeeper-batsmen Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson have secured their spots, with Pant making a comeback after recovering from a car accident.
The inclusion of spinner Yuzvendra Chahal adds depth to India’s bowling arsenal, alongside Kuldeep Yadav. However, there was disappointment for Shubman Gill and Rinku Singh, who find themselves among the reserves.
