Euro 2024, Round of 16: Germany vs Denmark Match Prediction, Team News, Head- to Head, Betting Tips, Odds and Top Players
The Germans are hot favourites for Euro 2024 and they lived up to all the hype in the first two matches. The draw against Switzerland in last group match, however, once again raised the Germans’ long-standing inconsistency problems. Under Julian Nagelsmann, their attack has improved, but their defence is still somewhat shaky. Germany are favourites but could face problems finding a breakthrough against Denmark without a natural striker upfront, similar to what happened against Switzerland.
Denmark played all draws in the group stage but still managed to advance to the next stage. They were fantastic in the last Euro 2020 and can provide a big shock to Germany if they find same rhythm. Denmark have a solid midfield and defence but there are still big questions with the attack. Young Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund is upfront but hasn’t been able to find his goal-scoring boots.

Germany vs Denmark Head-to-Head
Denmark and Germany have only faced each other four times since 2010, with Germany winning one game and Denmark drawing three.
Germany vs Denmark Top Players Predictions
Jamal Musiała (Germany): Jamal Musiała holds the key for the Germans in attack. He has scored two goals so far and dictates terms for Germany in the final third. Musiała is accustomed to the Nagelsmann system and is going to be his key player for this game. With no natural striker upfront, Muisala has an extra workload to do but his tuning with Havertz and Wirtz has been impressive so far.
Christian Eriksen (Denmark): So far, Denmark has struggled to attack, and Christian Eriksen is the one who needs to step up to solve this problem. In all three games so far, he has done well, but to beat Germany, he must show his classic Eriksen performance. In case Denmark decides to play low block, Eriksen’s forward balls will decide Denmark’s fate. Eriksen is the creative engine for Denmark.

Germany vs Denmark winner Prediction
Germany are the hosts and they have so far been impressive with their play. Their weakness got exposed against Switzerland, but Germany still has enough firepower in their squad to go past Denmark. As a result of the home support and their recent form, we expect Germany to win this game. Denmark can also find positive result but their attack needs to be on toes if they want to upset Germany.
Final Prediction:
Germany 1- 0 Denmark
